New breed of comment spam

It was only a few days ago that BlogSecurity released a post about SEO Egghead getting spammed, today it seems alot more power blogs are suffering the same fate.

It was bound to start happening: Spam is getting smarter according to BlogHerald who announced a short time ago that they were having trouble keeping comment spam out, even when using a combination of both Akismet and Spam Karma2.

Ajaxian also seems to be having MAJOR comment spam problems and have the following message appended to their comment box:

Spam is a pain, we are sorry to have to do this to you, but can you answer the question below? If so, the comment will go through!

According to Akismet 92% of all comments are spam.

Blogs are a fantastic way to network and spammers are playing for keeps! With big blogs like the above getting hit, is it possible that a new breed of spam may be on its way?
