BlogSecurity Standard

Since launching just 2 weeks ago, we have been pleasantly surprised at just how many blog administrators and developers are concerned with the state of their security; let me take this chance to thank them and especially those who have made monetary contributions to the project, it does take alot of our free time to produce quality material, and we appreciate it.

BlogSecurity would like to introduce some form of award or recognition system for individuals who have taken the time to have their blog security, and/or plugin/code reviewed. A number of plugins and themes offer really poor security levels, leaving blogs open to attack. Its only fair that individuals and blogs who have taken their security seriously be recognised for these efforts. Furthermore, users who trust your blog are more likely to visit and participate in its content.

Before embarking on this mission, we wanted to make some of these thoughts public to see what the community thought, and to see if it is ready for this type of project. Of course we would have to put together standards and metrics to ensure both availability and quality. This would also allows affiliate possibilities to meet future demands.

Please leave a comment, your feedback is appreciated and will largely determine if we go forward with this. If you would prefer to contact us privately, please use the Contact Form.

Thanks in advance for your support.
