wp-scanner Q&A

We have seen more and more people using our wp-scanner service to test their WordPress blogs for common security weaknesses. wp-scanner has been used to close thousands of security weaknesses across a variety of large and small blogs.

The original wp-scanner project is still BETA and we are constantly trying to improve the service as we go along. With this said, please take a minute to think about what you enjoy most about it and what you would like to see happen with the wp-scanner service, and drop us a comment with your feedback!

Currently we do have a developer in mind to take the project to the next level with some massive changes (code cleaning, database, more vulnerability checks, eliminate false positives etc). We are looking to let him spend 10 hours on the project for phase 1. He charges £20 p/h.

Anyone who would like to support the project can do so via PayPal. We plan to revamp the wp-scanner page shortly. All contributers have the opportunity to have their names and websites added to the contributer section (soon to be added).

We look forward to kicking these projects into the next gear!

Hi,

Has the service been removed?
http://blogsecurity.net/wpscan gives a 404…

Pascal, we have recently made some changes on the web server… we are still working out some of the kinks. We should have it up by the weekend.

OK, thx, I’ve subscribed to the feed :-)

Hey guys,

Thought I would let you know that if you’re interested, I could probably help out on the project. Seems very interesting!
